Who we need

We are looking for a Digital Product Intern to join our team for a four-month summer internship and help us review and improve key member journeys across our website and mobile app. In this role, you will bring a member-first perspective to the digital experience. You will navigate core journeys across our digital platforms and identify opportunities to improve clarity, usability, and overall member understanding. Your work will help highlight areas where navigation, messaging, or user flows may create friction and where the experience can be improved.

Alongside this experience-focused project, you will gain exposure to how digital products evolve within a large-scale loyalty platform. You will support the Digital Product team with activities such as documenting product requirements, assisting with user acceptance testing (UAT), and contributing to release documentation and feature updates. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Technology, and Operations.

This role is ideal for a curious and analytical student interested in digital product management, user experience, or digital strategy who wants to learn how digital products are evaluated, tested, and improved in a real-world environment.

This posting is for a four-month summer internship opportunity starting in May working three days per week on-site in our Toronto office, and two days remotely.

What’s in it for you:

Exposure to a large-scale digital product ecosystem. With industry leaders in banking, grocery, and entertainment as our owners, and partners across categories such as dining, travel, and retail, Scene+ operates one of Canada’s most recognized loyalty programs. In this internship, you will gain firsthand insight into how digital products are evaluated, tested, and improved across web and mobile platforms within a large-scale loyalty ecosystem.

Hands-on product experience. You will work directly with the Digital Product team reviewing live member journeys, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and contributing to documentation for product releases and feature enhancements. This experience will give you practical exposure to how digital products evolve from concept through launch.

Skills that translate beyond the internship. You will build core skills in digital product thinking, user experience evaluation, structured documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. You will see how teams across Marketing, Technology, and Operations work together to deliver and continuously improve digital experiences.

As our new Digital Product Intern, you will:

  • Review the digital experience. Navigate key member journeys across the Scene+ website and mobile app to identify areas that may cause confusion or friction. You will review partner pages, earn and redeem experiences, and marketing content within the digital environment to assess clarity of messaging and overall usability.
  • Represent the member perspective. Evaluate the digital experience through a member-first lens, identifying inconsistencies in navigation, copy, or user flow that could impact understanding. You will document observations and improvement opportunities in a structured format to help highlight areas where the experience can be strengthened.
  • Support the Digital Product team. Contribute to documenting product requirements, user stories, and feature updates. You will also support user acceptance testing (UAT) for website and app enhancements, capturing testing results, bugs, and feedback, and assisting with release documentation and internal summaries of new features.
  • Collaborate across teams. Attend cross-functional meetings with teams including Marketing, Technology, and Operations, capturing notes, tracking action items, and supporting coordination of project updates.
  • Deliver your internship project. At the end of the placement, you will prepare and present a summary of your findings, including key observations from digital experience reviews, opportunities to improve clarity, usability, or navigation, and recommended enhancements to strengthen the member experience.

You bring:

  • Curiosity about digital products and user experience. You are interested in how websites and apps are designed, tested, and improved. You naturally look at digital experiences through a user’s perspective and ask questions about clarity, usability, and flow.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to learn. You are eager to develop your skills, open to feedback, and excited to gain hands-on experience working with a digital product team. You enjoy learning from others and contributing to a collaborative environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation skills. You can clearly capture observations, summarize findings, and organize information in a structured way. Whether documenting testing results or identifying opportunities for improvement, you approach your work thoughtfully and carefully.
  • Organization and project coordination skills. You can manage multiple tasks, track action items, and follow through on deliverables. You are reliable, responsive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Clear communication skills. You can express ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats and are comfortable collaborating with teammates across different functions.
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program. You are pursuing a degree or diploma in business, digital media, product management, computer science, marketing, or a related field and are looking for a summer internship opportunity.
